Jeselle is dependable, accommodating and articulate. In the 8th grade, she was elected to 5 leadership positions. She also won awards in 3 contests. 

Goals: Jeselle wants to become an accountant.

Favorites:  In school, she likes math. She also enjoys intramural sports.

Family: Jeselle lives with her parents and two siblings.

Income: The family of 5 lives on about $5 a day.

Housing: The family home was destroyed by a recent typhoon and so the they now live with her grandparents, whose home has walls of hollow blocks. The roof is made of corrugated steel sheets. The floor is packed dirt and concrete.
