Rosalinda is the president of her class and is #5 academically, with a GPA of 92.4%. She has won several competitions, such as essay writing, science quiz bees, etc. Her teacher says that she is a role model in her character.  She was salutatorian in elementary school.

Her goal is to become a teacher someday 
 
In school, she prefers science and math, likes to read school books. Her favorite foods are rice, vegetables, and fish. 
 
Family: Rosalinda lives with her parents and an older brother.
 
Income: The father earns about $7 per day.
 
Housing: Typhoon Haiyan totally destroyed their home, but with help from NGOs they have a new home of lumber with a sheet steel roof and has a wood floor.  They live 4 km from the public market.
