Crizel wants to graduate from college and become a teacher. No one in her family has ever attended college, but that is her personal goal.

The family owns no transportation, and the municipal market is about 12 miles from their home. Fortunately, her high school is only a few miles away, and she walks to and from school, even during the monsoon season.

Favorites: She likes English, Filipino, singing and dancing.

Family: Crizel lives with her parents, and older brother and a younger sister.

Income: Her father is a laborer. The family lives on about $4 per day.

Housing: Their house is made of concrete, with bamboo slats for windows.
